Someone i know through a friend that would more aptly align with the definition of acquaintance but whom I would eventually hope will be more of a friend, given circumstance to truly develope that, did something heartbreaking ly thoughtful and nice for me. However, something in the universe has seemingly intercepted this random act of kindness, so that it did not, or at least as of yet, reach me. Having learned of this in small stages over the passed two days, I am touched so deeply as to barely be able to respond. And i am left uncertain which carries greater value; feeling the gift of empathy s presence in my life, that someone would see me as worthy of such a gesture, or simply knowing that this person is in the world, someone that delights in doing good, and doing good for others, and does so with the only hope as to have done good for goodness sake. Its easy to become jaded with all the shenanigans of humanity on display in life. Sometimes its the failed intent of a good hearted person to shift perspectives and lend a hand to the healing process.l Thank you doesnt touch it, my secret benefactor. In this circumstance, the phrase its the thought that counts really does carry weight. More than you will ever know. And i must say, your timing is impeccable !
