Someone just asked what I have against crossfit? Ive been in the fitness industry over 20 years, Ive seen trends come spinning, body pump, pilates, body slide, tae bo, Zumba, Jane Fonda workout tapes, Swiss balls, Indian clubs, power plates, kettle bells, crossfit, boot camps etc, some of these died out while some are still going. One thing is alway constant in the fitness industry weight training and cardio will get you the body you want. This never changes. Now the exercise performed in cross fit classes are fundamentally good exercises, if the participant has been taught correct form and technique. But sadly this is lacking as the mentality is more weight and faster reps. The result: injury, which I great news for the biokenticists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and Doctors as they are guaranteed a steady stream of clients. If you are a personal trainer teaching correct form must be an essential as your client trusts you and your knowledge anything less youre not doing your job.
