Someone just sent me a message asking me why I dont have an opinion on politics.....I assure you that I do have a very strong opinion on this subject but I keep it where it needs to be.......usually between my ears. I will now, and in the future, keep my focus on important things such as such as improbable runs at the World Series, the lingering effects of a slow kiss by a beautiful woman and the anticipation of a thunderstorm on a sweltering summer night. Instead of finger pointing, I will concentrate on fingerpainting and the smiles of a room full of five year olds and how those smiles infect me with hope instead of fear. I do have an opinion but I keep that genie in a bottle because if I let it out I could never put it back in and I would no longer be defined by what is in my heart but instead be haunted and hounded by the words that I could never take back or delete from the digital universe. I refuse to be quantified forever by an opinion that might change at a moments notice and be crucified by nameless avatars who blindly follow whatever political deity that they worshipped in the last election. I honestly believe that if more people looked closer to home that they would see that life is much better than the media would lead us to believe and that thought is what gets me through the day. Thats all I have to say about politics at this time.
