Someone made this comment last night: Give me a break! Muslims want sharia law instituted in every land they live in. where is the outcry from peaceful, commoners like yourself imran over ISIS and other terrorist Muslim groups. If you Muslims implement true Islam, we would be hurled back into the Dark Ages. The following was my reply: I find it rather strange, everyone has an opinion whether they are Muslim or non-Muslim concerning sharia. I can testify, I have been practicing Islam all my life and I do not comprehend nor even know the meaning of the word sharia. Everyone seems to think sharia is chopping of the hand for theft or killing non-Muslims on the basis of their religion. Is that really all that sharia encompasses? Just two laws and Muslims and non-Muslims are claiming they (Muslims) want to implement it. So may I please ask you, what is sharia? I most certainly do not know. In regards to ISIS, 30 countries have formed a coalition to fight them. This includes 17 Muslim nations and Iran being one of them. The highest scholar of Saudi Arabia including scholars world wide have condemned the actions of ISIS. Many Muslims around the world have formed protests including in Turkey, France, Pakistan, etc. Just because your media is bias towards the actions of Muslims, do not fault us. Your claim, If you Muslims implement true Islam, we would be hurled back into the Dark Ages. is indeed a strange one. Who were the Dark Ages for? If you study the history of Islam, which is blatantly obvious you have not, Muslims were flourishing when all of Europe was in Dark Ages. We had the best universities and medical schools. The very coffee you drink in the morning was discovered by Muslims of Yemen. Our contributions to history are so vast and so numerous, it is a subject of its own to study. The Great Wall of China was built by Muslims, Sears Tower in Chicago was designed by a Muslim, and Lincoln Tunnel in NYC was designed by a Muslim. Muslims fought in the American Revolutionary War and Civil Rights movement.
