Someone posted last night that because Shawn Fry did not attend a certain event it showed a side of him that must be deeply considered and he (Shawn) probably wouldnt like what the he (the writer) was thinking about him. Here is the reason we did not attend that event, our son. He has Autism and looks forward to the Heros Ball every year. It is a time for the special needs community to come together and celebrate our heroes and those that care for them everyday. We have supported Rising Above Ministries for years. God gave a vision and passion to Jeff Davidson and Becky Davidson. The result is that everyone in that room last night felt loved and valued!!! As the primary grows closer, the number of events that any candidate could attend on any given night grows larger. Sometimes candidates must choose between them. Last night we chose our hero and our entire special needs family. I would suggest that a candidates qualifications are not based on where they are, but who they are. Shawn Fry is a father who has chosen to celebrate special needs and his family. His qualifications run deeper than his career. His qualifications are reflected in his character. I suggest that candidates should not be judged on attendance alone. Shawn Fry for District Attorney has been working hard to earn your vote. If he hasnt been able to meet you yet, it is not because he did not want to. Look into his background. His vast experience in Criminal Court makes him the best candidate in the Republican Primary.
