Someone pushed one of my girls down on the playground. When I saw - TopicsExpress

Someone pushed one of my girls down on the playground. When I saw the blue rock marks on her back, my primal instinct to protect her bristled up. But I know the little boy. I know what he goes home to, how I’ve wanted to bring him here and protect him. He pushed her down and when she cried, he said, “See how that feels?” He didn’t want to hurt her; he wanted her to know how he feels. We live in a broken world among shattered souls, and justice is a blurry thing. It’s so hard not to lash out when our loved ones are victims of rage & selfishness, but when I heard my little girl pray for her enemy and peace filled her room, I fell silent while the One with marks on His back healed her heart with the miracle of forgiveness. “By His wounds we are healed.” ~ Isaiah 53:5
