Someone sang this song over the weekend. It is a favorite of mine. While it’s a lovely song and really well written I realized as I listened to it I began to think again about what he is really saying in this song. To me it is obvious to see the depth of love and commitment he is talking about; maybe to someone who has been hurt in relationships of her past. Songs like this are amazing to me and the reason why is because the song and can only be thought about in reference to that ONE person you will find, or you will be found by, that will make these lyrics come alive. We are always learning and we do it while we are living our lives. I know there are people out there that feel alone because they haven’t found that special person to spend life with. I did feel that alone feeling for a while but a while back I felt that I needed to know what it was to be single after all the years of being in a relationship. I needed to be happy with me, as I am, understand who I am, before I find that special woman that is out there. When I hear a song like this it reminds me of the finer things of being in a good loving relationship. I really believe that too often girls are looked at as objects for their looks and their outside appearance. So many times they are judged only on that one factor and who they really are as people is not even considered. In the realm I work in, I see and hear a lot. In this song, Hunter Hayes wrote about wanting this girl to know that he wants her to feel fully loved and cared about inside and out. This is a lifetime love being spoken about that will weather any storm. I guess there is a guy out there for every girl and a girl out there for every guy; that one guy that will treat her the way they see it in a romance movie and that one girl that will treat him in the same way. I am reminded again that this love is sought after but not looked for. It is wanted but not found…this love is finds you and then you feel wanted and are wanted by someone; the way it should be. Be ready when it graces your doorstep.
