Someone sent me a message asking me why my deafening silence with regard to the Palestinians. She said that I would be the first to defend the Christians at Churches and make statements against Syariah issues or Islamic issues. Her message was long and a tad bit boring to read especially since I am not a History professor nor a political analyst. Nor do I have knowledge on what went wrong with Israel, the Jews, Zionist, anti Semitic, Hamas Fateh, West Bank or Gaza and for some, Hitler and the Holocaust. Of course the charges against me was why is it so difficult for you to understand the persecutions against the Palestinians? Truth be told that I would not make statements until I can verify the truth. Yes there is violence and mass murders and lives lost, especially innocent lives, and I never condoned violence or aggression of any kind by any side. No one has the right to kill or maim anyone. Not the Jews, not the Hamas or Fateh or Al Qaeda or US or whoever for that matter. Dont ask me to side the Palestinians just because they are Muslims but ask me to side the lives of the innocent be they Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Buddhist and even Atheist. As far as my limited knowledge on the matter goes, killings should stop. That means everyone should stop killing. Especially if the killings are done in the name of God. The Palestinians have been displaced from the West Bank and Gaza. And the Jewish have come to claim it as theirs. If only I could make a statement that could stop the atrocities, I would. But who am I? At least I dont pretend to be knowledgeable in the field. I only studied Law and Syariah Law and if I feel that there is injustice I will speak up. But for now, please dont push me to support one side. Because I am not equipped to argue for the sake of arguing. Footnote I did receive a doa or supplication to destroy and kill all Jews. Thank you but I would never make such supplications. I just pray for peace and Love and an end to violence and stupidity.
