Someone told me I was disgusting today because Im black and they thought I was Hispanic... I am truly and utterly amazed. Im baffled. Ive always known that racism is still out there but it has never hit me so hard in my life. How dare you think that you are superior to me because of the color of my skin. How dare you try to break me. How dare you try to undermine me. How dare you try to make me feel like I am not worthy. I may have flaws but my ethnicity is NOT one of them. I was extremely upset and heavy hearted when this person said this to me but you know what, God made me BEAUTIFUL in the skin Im in and quite frankly I dont give a damn about what you say anymore. However, I am going to pray for this person because its just sad, ignorant, and stupid. May you be enlightened sir because one day youre going to say that to the wrong person. God Bless You. Moving on. I know my worth.
