Someone tried to tell me that Frozen is the greatest Disney film of all time because of the strong female characters and there are no other films with strong females. I submit to you... Belle from Beauty and the Beast - Sacrificed herself for her father - Faced down a monstrous villain (and ultimately transformed him into something good) - Most beautiful girl in town. Not vain about it - Reads books - Wants to travel and go on an adventure (not find a man) - Chased by the best looking guy in town. Rejects him because hes an idiot and she wants something deeper. - Defies rules and convention. Follows her heart. Doesnt let anyone tell her who she is or who she has to be - She is forever kind and loving and strong and intelligent. And the list goes on. She is a much stronger character than Anna (who, along with being guy-crazy, her strongest attributes are her pretty face and her quirkiness) and definitely stronger than the two-dimensional Elsa (who is crippled by fear the entire movie and literally does nothing about it except run away and be afraid until the end) The Frozen women are actually pretty darn weak in comparison.
