Someone who follows my Facebook posts once said I dont know if on any given day youre going to post about classical music or stuff like Three Stooges or wrestling.. Today, its the latter.... Friends whove been longtime followers of happenings in the squared circle - and relative newcomer to wrestling fandom Erin Yankowskas - probably already know of the passing of Douglas Ox Baker yesterday. Dont recall that Ox spent much time in WWF/WWE, but he was quite the heel in other parts of the country. The two most notable things Ox: 1) his battle with Kurt Russell in the movie Escape From New York, 2) this 1974 Cleveland match where Ox interferes and Pearl Harbors Ernie Ladd after Ernie reversed Johnny Powers figure four leglock. Fans at that time werent aware that this was sports entertainment, and legit thought that Ox was really trying to kill the Big Cat...
