Someone wrecked my house while I was at work. They - ripped the curtains from 7 windows, bending the rods and biting some of them - pulled books from three shelves underneath windows, chewing two beyond saving - threw a number of DVDs into the floor, chewing the cases of several - dumped potted plants into the floor, breaking two into shreds and spilling black dirt over a carpet - took away one plant, ceramic pot and all - chewed the front door knob - chewed the back door facing, shredding much of the wood - emptied a full garbage can in the kitchen, chewing the contents and spreading them across the floor - chewed a pair of shoes - tore apart three solar powered window toys - left one of the phones off the hook - ripped open an entire side of a 40 lb bag of Kittles and Bits. With mouth agape at the sight of the kitchen I called out, Who is in my house? After a few moments Volvo peeped around the doorway from the living room. He wouldnt come into the kitchen. He followed me into the front room and waited for me to open the door. My question is this: where did he find the time? I was only away 11 hours. And there are two mysteries. First, I KNOW four dogs left my house this morning. I counted them. Volvo and Hank left first. Pepper left a few minutes later. Abby left after Pepper. Volvo was not in the house when I left for work. I always lock the house. So how did he get inside? The other mystery? Where is the third potted plant, pot and all?
