Somepony went to the round-pen today. I didnt focus on catching him or making nervous asking for large feats. I opened a chute through the dry lot to the arena and opened the round-pen and let Caroline eat in there, making Satan somewhat jealous and interested in getting in. I shut the gate and then let Caroline out. I asked him politely to walk around both directions driving him slowly. He turned and faced when I asked him to turn. Then I asked him to trot both directions and pay attention to me, when I turned away and walked away from him he followed. I decided that would be an okay short video. At least he hasnt forgotten how to try during our period of non-contact. Immediately after this I let him back out into the arena, that was entirely enough try for me for today. Not some soaring accomplishment in the grand scheme of horses but he had plenty of freedom and then, when confined, instead of resorting to panic at the loss of space he went for what he knew to be the right answer. Im pleased. :)
