Somerset Dam (as at 4.30pm) Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is advising due to rainfall, all crews have been stood down from the scene of a bushfire that was burning in the vicinity of Somerset Dam Village. The fire, which broke out on Monday 27 October, is now significantly reduced in size and is posing no threat to property. Crews will return tomorrow morning to monitor the scene until it is deemed safe. Esk (as at 4.30pm) Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is advising due to rainfall, all crews have been stood down from the scene of a grass fire that was burning near Esk. This fire started on Wednesday, 12 November near Chailee Road, Glen Esk and travelled north-west, in the direction of the Mount Esk area. The fire is now significantly reduced in size and is posing no threat to property. Crews will return tomorrow morning to monitor the scene until it is deemed safe.
