Something About My Home City Muzaffarabad City is Kashmir in miniature. Two rivers flowing through the city, a multitude of springs, towering mountains all around and fruit trees make the city true representative of Kashmir. The traditional Kashmiri architecture comprising wooden houses presents a breath taking view. Standing majestically in the south of the city is Muzaffarabad Fort, generally known as Red Fort which traces back a checquered history. As a consequence of plentiful greenery, the pollution level in and around Muzaffarabad is next to none. Contamination-free air makes the place favourite for tourists. You enjoy all weathers in Muzaffarabad. Winter is moderately cold and the summer gets quite hot. In between the two extremes there is a period of moderate weather. In spring, the mountains are carpeted with green grass and wild flowers decorate hills and ridges. Muzaffarabad is not place bustling with traffic. At off peak hours the volume of the traffic is considerably low. Riksha (tri-cycle) is a commons means of public transport.
