Something I continue to hear over and over again is stories or questions about metabolic damage. So heres the deal guys, your body will respond to any caloric deficit with creating new caloric set points. Its inevitable. Thats your bodys defense mechanism. We are amazing machines that are capable of adapting and surviving. So do I recommend under 1,000 calories for extended periods of time and 3 hours of cardio every day? Of course not, but if you do 1 day of 1,000 calories and a few weeks of long cardio your not likely to destroy your metabolism. Its the nonstop preps with extreme low calories and trying to fight slow response by doing extended cardio for months that will take its toll.
