Something I have been pondering with all this Ebola panic and whose at fault....just like most things/issues in the hospital, nurses get blamed when things happen. There is very little glory or praise for nurses. Yet nurses are on the front lines and working weekends, holidays, night shifts. Nurses work Christmas Day and cant be with their own families on such an important holiday. Should that nurse have flown? No she should not have. Did she have symptoms? Who knows? She and the other nurse have been critiqued by many people who never have and never will walk in their shoes. They clearly were failed by the system in not having what they needed to take care of a patient. I hope the medical system and the public can learn from this and prevent future errors. But please stop casting blame. It serves no purpose.
