Something I learned tonight from a book Im giving away as a gift. Good word for the next season and the beginning of the year reflections. This will be my last post until Thursday. Our need for discipline applies to much more than problems in organization and structure...It applies to every area of life in which we are bot operating as we should, from attitudes, relationship conflicts to faith struggles. (heres the best part) Self-control provides a structure for love. People who have internal discipline have learned to run their lives in such a manner that Gods love flows through them in very fruitful, fulfilling ways. They display qualities such as honesty, responsibility, faithfulness, & dependability. They are NOT SLAVES to their impulses. If love is the heart of the person, discipline is the skeleton, giving a person form and protection...yet, discipline is painful.- Cloud & Townshend in How People Grow All this to say, I need to grow some more.
