Something I said, ad-libbing, during the talk on wildlife advocacy that I gave this weekend in Tahoe at California Council for Wildlife Rehabilitators - CCWRs annual symposium keeps lingering in my thoughts, which is that wolf advocacy has a trophic cascade effect on all wildlife advocacy, that effectively advocating for wolves opens up space for other species too, creates a more diverse field... allows other, perhaps less well known, less charismatic wild animals to occur and thrive in our actions and discussions.
