Something I was just thinking...The meaning of the term believe. What it really means to believe? To accept as true or feel sure of the truth of. My question would be this... Shouldnt one need to be persuaded or convince of a thing to believe it? Is believing something that happens automatically without logical reasoning (on demand) or can it be turned on or off like a light switch? Is it perfectly okay to condemn or punish one that is not persuaded to the point of belief? Does it REALLY make sense to say one is going to hell if they have not been convinced to the point of belief if believing requires convincing?
