Something I wrote the last time Europe drew the offensive depictions: In the past couple of days, more people around the world have sent their peace and blessings upon the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), then ever before. Every mention of him on TV, khutbahs, and the discussions that ensued this week have prompted every believing person to say Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings be upon him) after his name. Those who sought out his honour wished to defame him, but instead he has been praised multifolds more and even as his enemies utter his name, they do not know that they are indeed praising him for he is Muhammad (the praiseworthy). They have only ignited the love and strength within the hearts of the believers and created a sparkle of admiration in the eyes of those who have yet to believe. They wish to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will complete His light even though the disbelievers hate it. [al-Saff: 8] Allahumma salli wa sallim wa barik ala Nabiyyina wa Rasulina wa habibina al-Mustafa al-Mukhtar, Muhammad, alayhi afdhal al-salat wa-salam.
