Something Ive been posting around on as many facebook pages as possible :) I feel that the rash generalizations about our generation being apathetic and so used to violence and tragedy that another disaster means nothing to us is a completely false statement. I believe in our power as students to make change in the world and to help those who need it most. That being said, I strongly urge any clubs and organizations/people to band together and try to make a campaign of tabling for food/clothes/supplies to donate to organizations supporting the relief efforts in the Phillipines due to the recent Typhoon that hit them. Here is a link to a brief list/description of organizations trying to help so you can pinpoint where you all want to gear your efforts.
