Something Steve Martin just posted reminded me of Lazlo Toth. Ever heard of him? How about Father Guido Sarducci? No, how about Don Novello? Well, in any event. Novello published a book of very funny letters he sent to people and corporations as the fictitious Lazlo Toth. These letters generally appeared to have come from a very dumb/naive/persistent customer or fan and had all sorts of wild stories. The funny part is that the letters were often responded to and that only led to more fun!
