Something a little different, a nesting cocktail drum kit. 14 x 18, 10 x 7 birch shells with a 12 x 4 mahogany snare drum. All the drums can fit in a 14 x 24 surdo case, and the aluminium hardware and cymbals in a rucksack - meaning its not a one trip from the car kit, as much as who needs a car. Sounds great, loving the 14 x 18 bass drum - its got a really nice thump, perfect for my jazz/swing band. Wood hoops help with the tone too - of course it cant replace a 22 BD, but it keeps up with the rest of the kit and cymbals.
