Something amazing has happened in Queensland. Almost 740,000 hectares of land has returned to its Traditional Owners – the Olkola people. This includes the declaring of a stunning new National Park, the Olkola National Park, which will be managed jointly between the Queensland Government and the Olkola people. This region is rich with cultural heritage and incredible nature. Its ancient rock art, extensive wetlands and vast tracts of open savannah have all previously been assessed as of World Heritage standard.
