Something beautiful, something good; All my confusion He understood. All I had to offer Him was brokeness and strife, But He made something beautiful of my life. A description was given in Streams Of The Desert of a beautiful meadow. The grass was soft and thick like a beautiful green rug. In one corner an immense old tree was a sanctuary for countless birds full of happy song. Two cows lay in the shade being the picture of content. By the roadside dandelion mingled their gold with royal purple of the wild violet. This beholder leaned against the fence for a long time beholding the splendor of the peaceful scene. The next day as he passed through behold a plowman had turned the beauty of this wonderful scene into a terrible havoc. Then by the unseen hand his eyes were opened and in a vision saw a field of ripe corn ready for the harvest. He then could visualize the heavy laden stalks in the autumn sun; and could almost hear the music of the wind as it swept though the tassels. Then the brown earth took on a splender it had not had the day before. Sometimes the beauty of a Christain life seems to go behind the sun but it is only because He wants to bring you out into a much larger place. Stay true, there will be a great harvest at the end of what you have been facing. We can TRUST the God who created the Earth. What a RESTING PLACE!! Oh, I would not want to fail to glorify the Lord in my situation. It is kingdom work. He is working through you and me to build His kingdom. He understands the reason for the trial. All we absolutely must do is trust, obey and rest in Him.
