Something for you to think about... Cultivating the Feminine - TopicsExpress

Something for you to think about... Cultivating the Feminine Each of us has a masculine side and a feminine side. Your masculine side includes characteristics such as focusing on one thing at a time, competition, achieving goals, and following systems. Your feminine side is more about collaboration, emotions, and seeing the bigger picture. Our society tends to place more importance on masculine traits. People ask you what you do for a living, not what you enjoy doing in your free time. People want to know what you accomplished, not about the journey to your goal. And there’s nothing wrong with any of that. Being competitive can be a great thing, and being ambitious and goal-oriented is very satisfying. However, when we place more emphasis on the masculine side, we tend to neglect the feminine side, which leaves us off-balance. You need both masculine and feminine energies as your power sources. They are necessary tools for shaping your life and for nurturing relationships. When you’re out of balance, and your partner is out of balance, it can wreak havoc on your relationship—especially in the bedroom. It’s polarity that gives you that certain desire. When you’re dipping into your masculine side more than your feminine side, there isn’t enough difference between you and your partner to make that spark. So, how do you cultivate your feminine side? You’re busy being everything to everyone. You’re overwhelmed. You need to prioritize YOU. Schedule time for reflection, self-care, and pleasure. Without taking care of yourself, you are hurting your wellbeing, your relationships, and your spirit. Of course, we, as a society, don’t value self-care. We value work. Money. Success. But is that what really makes us happy? Think of cultivating your feminine side not as a luxury, not as a that-must-be-nice kind of thing, not as a frivolous thing, but as a necessity to ensuring balance and wholeness in your life. Women who take part in my boot camp send a pleasure a day to the group every day for two weeks. They actually look radiant when they come back, after even one week. They start looking for and anticipating things that will be exciting. So, think about what do you do for pleasure. Where do you find ease? What gives you comfort? Even just thinking about these things can make you feel warmer, less stressed, and more content. Make self-care a priority, and you’ll find more joy in the day-to-day, more spice in your relationship, and more at ease about the future -Angela
