Something happened tonight that I wasnt expecting. I met a guy for an intercambio. We were speaking Spanish and he asked if I spoke any other languages. I said I also speak French. What happened next was so amazing. He said something to me in French, he must have asked where I learned French because I started speaking in French and telling him that I studied in Lyon, France and that I took French in Kansas City. But what was amazing was that it felt so natural and fluid. I felt no resistance, the language just switched and I didnt even realize it for a few sentences. We went back and forth. He would speak Spanish for a bit then back to French and so would I. It was such an awesome feeling. Lol it makes me want to study and practice even more! Ahhh I love languages, they are so cool! And our brains and just amazing! And for the record, he told me I spoke both languages well. I told him not to lie, that I can take it...lol...I want the truth...and he laughed and said yes, you speak well. Well, I hope he wasnt lying! I work hard to learn these languages.
