Something has me upset and it just wont go away, no matter how hard I try to forgive. My family came over for Thanksgiving, including my brother. I showed up late (as usual) so while I wasnt there my father took my brother to the garage to show him my motorcycle. My brother laughed and said ha-ha, thats a girls bike. You know, after one year of sobriety I was able to get a bike. Im proud of that. It may be a single piston bar hopper but it is MINE. I actually like it with its cruiser look, black paint and spoked wheels. My brother is very successful and can have anything he wants. When he went through his motorcycle phase he had a huge Honda, I think they call it a Gold Wing. He never had the struggles I had, I guess the gene passed him, but why would someone who can have anything try to take down someone who has squat and what they do have they cherish? Im glad Im in a position where I see my material assets as treasured gifts. He just takes all that he has for granted, like it was owed to him. I need to forgive and move on but this has been building up for a while, its not just the bike.
