Something interesting happened today and Im not sure how I feel about it. I kinda want to be angry, kinda feel hurt (for others), and yet at the same time, indifferent. Here is what happened...... this morning, The Roux Croux and I were talking about what special we could run and about doing something special for veterans. We decided on the half off for all those past and present who have served our country. Then we remembered that we often have customers pay forward meals for veterans. As soon as I explained how the pay it forward worked, one of my employees IMMEDIATELY said, I wanna do that, I want to pay forward meals! This employee ran and got their money and paid several meals forward. See, this employees brother is overseas right now with the army and this employee would probably REALLY like to be able to buy a meal for their brother. Throughout our lunch traffic, there were several military meals paid for in full. The employee stood by and watched these folks receive meals for FREE! Whats so shocking about this story? NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THOSE RECIPIENTS SAID THANK YOU! NOT. ONE.
