Something is wrong, Trooper Gibson. A whole block of Under-Hive - TopicsExpress

Something is wrong, Trooper Gibson. A whole block of Under-Hive workers does NOT just disappear without so much as a sound. the Sgt growled. Sgt Flemming was one of the few veteran troops in the platoon, and his words carried a lot of weight with the rank and file. If the Sgt was worried, everyone was worried. Trooper Gibson glanced own the deserted street, watching trash blow across the avenue in a cold wind. The wind smelled bad....really bad. The Pony-Soldiers are out screening sir, theyll hightail it back here first sign of trouble. Weve got three Sentinels providing them over-watch. No sooner had the words left his mouth then the loud boom of an exploding Sentinel thundered down the lane, the hive-buildings making it echo and bounce, making the location hard to detect by sound lone. Sgt Flemming roared back over his shoulder at the green conscripts. Move it, you lot! and gave the Priest that was footslogging alongside them a nod.... ---- 500 pt Recon style game (IA 13 Renegade Guard vs Astra Militarum). Chaos starts with all five objectives. Making contact with objective changes ownership every time. Each unit is worth a kill point as well. Due to Aaron having 11 to my 8 kill points starting, we decided to make my Primarus Witch worth two and the Renegade Ogryn worth 3. Chaos starts completely hidden until an enemy unit gets within 3 or they shoot. ---- A note about the Chaos forces: BS 2 and no armor (Not worth buying Sub-Flak for a 6+ save, lol) on everyone but the Marauders. This army plays with 4+1d6 leadership taken when you have to roll leadership. Marauders never recover from failed Leadership due to ‘In it for the Money’ rule. It’s easy enough to buy ‘Militia Trained’ but the scenario calls for ganger thugs/Mutants/Rabid workers. They looted a local PDF armory so most have shotguns. Hopefully Hidden Set up will give me a balance of sorts. There is no night-fighting, First Blood or Line-breaker. Aaron’s Platoon was out training conscripts, so the only vehicles anyone gets are his sentinels (They were training, and Chaos worker goons are too stupid to run a vehicle like a sentinel…). Aaron also played (for the first time I’ve ever seen it,) Roughriders. They are very cool. Chaos forces: x10 Renegade Platoon Command (x2 flamers, Autocannon) Demagogue L-1 Primaris-Rogue Witch (Pyromacy, got the Inferno Power) Warlord Trait: Artisan of Death. (We know that unbound non characters don’t get warlord trait but we played with them anyway, though we forgot to roll ‘em till turn 3, heheh X5 Marauders (Heretiks = Carapace, x2 Melta Guns, Shotguns) X5 Marauders (Heretiks = Carapace, x2 Melta Guns, Shotguns) Renegade Ogryn Brute (Nurgle) x10 Mutants w/shotguns x10 Mutants w/shotguns 55 x10 Renegade Infantry (x2 Flamers, Missile Launcher, Shotguns) 55 x10 Renegade Infantry (x2 Flamers, Missile Launcher, Shotguns) VS Astra: Platoon Command (Mortar, Sgt is the HQ. Warlord: His unit gets Relentless) X10 Platoon (Heavy Flamer) X10 Platoon (Heavy Flamer) X30 (?) Conscripts X1 Priest X5 Roughriders (x2 Flamers) X5 Roughriders (x2 Flamers) Armored Sentinel (Plasma Cannon) Scout Sentinel (Heavy Flamer) Scout Sentinel (Heavy Flamer)
