Something of great importance. I believe every apostolic - TopicsExpress

Something of great importance. I believe every apostolic minister that has laid down his cross and abandoned the faith for whatever reason, is placed as a trophy at the very front of the devils shrine. Their is a great need each day to pray earnestly for our Pastor and his family. As Jesus quoted, I will smite the shepherd and the sheep will be scattered. I wonder how many sheep in our congregations would fall away and scatter if our preacher abandoned the faith. I know it can be a struggle and great challenge to watch over 3/4 souls let alone 300-400. Our Pastor and his family NEEDS our prayers, he is on the front line, on the devils hit list. If I could encourage, contend to set aside 15-20 minutes each and every day to specifically pray for your Pastor, his family, and others used in ministry in your congregation. Its dangerous to have the attitude, well someone else will pray for him, let it be something we ALL desire and push to do daily. Paul constantly wrote, Pray for us, read Ephesians 6:17-19, 2 Thes 5:25, 1 Thes 5:25, this great Apostle and man of God knew the power of prayer and what it could do! All great men of God need their prayer warriors behind the scenes! Peter was sentenced in prison, but *when* prayer was made without ceasing, he was freed! What a prayer meeting that must have been as they all prayed passionately and persistently for their man of God in his hour of need! There is immense power in prayer! Lastly, dont be surprised, like the disciples at the garden of Gethemene with Jesus, when you go to pray for things of great importance you suddenly become so tied, weary and dont feel like praying at all, thats called warfare! That my friends is the time to push on, pray even harder and louder, endure and ask for strength and focus on what has been laid upon your heart to pray for. Pray, Oh Lord, teach me how to pray for my Pastor, teach me how to pray for his family, alert me when they are in need of prayer and use me as a vessel to pray through for them. Our Superintendent, the board, Bishops, Bible school Teachers, Missionaries, Evangelists, Sunday school Teachers, Youth Pastors and Leaders all need prayer, their is plenty of work to be done in the kingdom of God and alot of it can be done on our knees behind the scenes!
