Something on the matter that always makes me feeling sick. By far - TopicsExpress

Something on the matter that always makes me feeling sick. By far the most popular ( and often, the ONLY! ) non-chess questions to our chess stars are about football. Magnus, will you watch tonights Real game? , Boris, why Barcelona is so special to you? Predictions for World Cup and Champions league, Kramniks confessions, that he barely could wait till the end of the game, as there was such a great football match going on (well, in this case, he might have been just teasing Topalov), etc... Dont we have to respect ourselves and our profession a bit more? Are chess journalists ready to talk about other topics? Has anybody asked recently Magnus about his favorite books? What kind of music Caruana listens to? When Nakamura was last time in museum and what museum that was (actually, Hikaru is the one who sometimes tweets about the books he liked - RESPECT!) - these topics are almost never touched, and if they are, it is done very superficially (like in New in Chess Just checking column). But again, and again..Magnus, who is your favorite to win the World Cup? scotlandnow.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/wayne-rooney-doesnt-asked-wimbledon-3752758
