Something strange happened in an exam that I was invigilating - TopicsExpress

Something strange happened in an exam that I was invigilating today. It had NEVER happened in the 8 years I have been teaching - EVER! My co-invigilator was collecting the scripts at the end of the exam. Because most students complete at the very end, a small crowd surrounded her. Then one student stealthily snatched her smart-phone that she had placed innocently on the table. The thug even switched it off. While our main worry is usually malpractice, some maleficent students have taken to kleptomania. I was flabbergasted at how low these students could go. Although it was most likely one person, one skunk can make a whole heard of people smell like they have bacterial vaginosis. For ethics sake, I will request a colleague to grade that particular batch of students to avoid a potential differential misclassification bias. More dreadful though is the thought that we are wasting our time training some mature thieves. If prayers really work, may the thiefs balls shrivel and fall off and may he/they experience an intense squeezing and twisting effect as they do so (most likely it is a male)
