Something that makes me curious now: When I was growing up in Woodside, I lived in the bottom floor of a two family house. Me, my two brothers, my mother, my grandmother and the dog. The house had 3 bedrooms, I had my own, quite a luxury back then. Here is the thing, that apartment only had ONE bathroom. As a realtor, I get clients who want a bedroom for each kid and they want at least 2 bathrooms if not more. People today dont think their kids should have to share bedrooms and many 1 bathroom houses present a challenge to sell. So funny to me, as I knew many families in Woodside that had 7 kids, mom, dad, dogs living in apartments in the Mets and somehow making due. Kids doubled and tripled up, 1 bathroom and somehow everyone survived the ordeal. Anyone else ever think back and wonder how our parents made it all work? You know big families, small spaces and 1 bathroom??
