Something that occurred to me the other day is that ISIL is a SUNNI group, representing (in their own way) the majority of Muslims in the world, including here in the US. For years, folks like Glenn Beck have been predicting a SHIITE caliphate backed by Iran, Shia being the second largest denomination (for lack of a better term) in Islam. Think of it this way: Instead of having to deal with a group of terrorists that share the same basic ideals as 20% of the Muslim population, you have to deal with a group sharing the views of 80% of the Muslim population. Do you understand how big this is? Do you understand how bad this is?
