Something the Lord shared: The enemy is not all knowing. He - TopicsExpress

Something the Lord shared: The enemy is not all knowing. He learns, makes mistakes, does things differently the second time. For example, he came at Jesus directly the first time, during the three temptations, then used people, even Peter, afterwards. He moved from direct attacks to subtle attacks, through people. The enemy first tried at attacking Samson through force. Then used the more subtle approach through Delilah. He had Saul throw the spear at David, and when that didnt work, he put Bathsheba taking a bath on the rooftop to get at David. One goal the enemy has always had is to enslave Gods people. Thats because if you have enslaved Gods people, you hinder Gods purposes on the earth, because the Lord often works THROUGH people. The Lord had to set Israel FREE from slavery before He could use them to conquer the promised land. The enemys first attempt at enslaving people used Egypt. Gods people, the Israelites, worked in clay pits, making bricks. A task master stood over them, and forced them to work using a whip. Over time, the people began to cry out, God sent Moses, and set them free. People will always cry out to God, or try in some other way to escape from this type of slavery. So it is always doomed to fail. The is the satans slavery system, version 1. Later, we see Gods people enslaved again, but with a much more sophisticated system, in Babylon. Babylon will act like it is your friend. Daniel, Shadrach, Meschach, and Abendego got promotions to high office. There are beautiful gardens in Babylon. (look up the Hanging Gardens of Babylon). You may have heard of the Babylonian System. Its a financial system with its origins in Ancient Babylon. There is no task master with a whip in this system. Instead, you get a monthly statement in the mail. In Egypt, you knew exactly who you were working for, the Pharaoh. But in Babylon, you have the illusion of working for yourself, but in fact, you are working for a bank. Much more subtle. In Egypt, you know you dont own anything, even your home and clothes could be taken at any time by an Egyptian. But in Babylon, you have the ILLUSION of ownership. That home and car can also be taken at any time, if you get behind on your payments. But that piece of paper you hold, or that key you have, makes you think you own something. Pharaoh would not allow Gods people to go out into the desert to worship God. But under Babylon, you think you are free to serve the Lord, since you get to go to church whenever youd like. However, if God calls you to go to the mission field, you briefly get excited, then realize you cant go due to the thirty year mortgage you are paying off, and money youd be free to help the homeless with, is tied up by all the payments you have to make. EVEN churches are slaves to this system - that big building many meet in, belongs to the bank. A large portion of the money they take up goes to pay it off, and not to missions. And the Babylonian system is more effective at hindering the purposes of God as the Egyptian system is, because its a slavery system that gives you the illusion of freedom. This is satans slavery system, version 2.
