Something to Meditate On.. As I make preparations to step away - TopicsExpress

Something to Meditate On.. As I make preparations to step away from FB once more I leave you (prophetic servants in particular) this meditation.. Theres a lot here so Ive condensed the information as best I can so if Ive left some historical information out please forgive me... Now on to that meditation.... So many when coming into their prophetic ministry more specifically those who believe theyve been called into the office of Prophet love to quote Im a prophet to nations. However with that often comes lofty expectations of traveling the world and ministering hither, thither and yon.. And that may be true for some BUT when you study the foundational book and specific text from which that scripture comes and the prophet this statement was made to by YAHWEH: Jeremiah spent much of his prophetic ministry in the region of his birthing - he was born 3 miles from Jerusalem. His ministry spanned 40 years through the reign of 5 kings, the rise and fall of the Assyrians, Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon but yet he spent the majority of his ministry in Jerusalem. There are reports that he was taken captive by a band of fugitive Judeans to Egypt but again most of his ministry was spent in the region of his birthing... Prophet to the nations? Yes indeed he was but not in the sense so many think of it today. He was a prophet to his community, he spoke to the hearts of his people, GODS people in the place where he was born, was raised, was never married because of GODS command to him not to, where he lamented and etc.. He prophesied to the nations in his midst of the siege of his people, the destruction of Solomons temple and even those nations/kings/conquerors that came in during the most destructive years of Jerusalem.. And though he never really left his region he was still a prophet to nations. He was a prophet to nations because nations were in the wombs of the women of his people.. In Genesis did not GOD promise Abraham he would be the father of many nations and did HE not say to Rebecca that there were two nations in her with Jacob and Esau being birthed from the same womb - two nations - GLORY.. My husband during my early prophetic years of formation and even now as I continue to grow in this GOD says to me: you are a prophet to nations and those nations are right here in your community, they are there at the college you attend, they are out there on the streets, they are in the church, nations awaiting the WORD of the LORD, nations in need of the correction and direction of the LORD - right here. He would say you dont have to travel overseas to see those nations GOD has called you to because they are right here. Listen up Prophet to the nations if thats who you truly believe GOD is calling you: where do you stand on your ministry to your community, where is the instruction for the region you are in to help them battle the strongholds of that region? Where is the WORD of Help from the LORD and the release of GOD in your mouth for the nations right in your own back yard? What are you speaking and prophesying over the city you live in at the instruction of GOD? Do you care about the nations at the elementary, middle school, high school and college where you are? Or will you feel like GOD lied or let you down if you never travel to a foreign nation? Can you even interact with people of different nationalities without personal bias concerning their customs? Are you comfortable in ministries where the people dont shout, dance and roll like you? Prophet to nations can you minister the WORD of the LORD to people of different races in the U.S. let alone some where else? Thats the question.. Heres where I stand on this: I am focused on effecting change where I am and until I complete the assignment where I am - this is the most important nation to me to speak the WORD of the LORD to and give HIS instruction and such according to HIS command.. And when the LORD releases me I will go at HIS command but I will still have affection for this region and the deliverance of the people. I dont need to go preach at everybodys church around the world to feel like that nations mandate is being fulfilled because it is.. Why? How? Because there are nations before me right now as I gaze down to the recreation center, there are nations walking up the street, nations all around me and you.. So I say again do you truly understand what prophet to nations means? Or are you chasing fame and notoriety and every opportunity to make a name for yourself and be seen of men instead of quietly and humbly effecting change where you are. Selah.
