Something to Think About: Dealing With Loss! We never know what events a new day will bring. When our family awoke this morning, we had no idea that one of our precious members would be receiving an invitation to join our HEAVENLY FATHER this day. My brother Bob was a truly remarkable man. He had many talents and THE FATHER had given him numerous gifts which Bob never failed to use serve others. Service was truly Bob’s calling. His spiritual heart was dedicated to serving others generous helpings of GOD’S Word. He was a wondrously gifted teacher and encourager of men [and women] who needed encouragement. Even when things were tough for him, he was still faithful to reach down deep into his own spirit, put his arm around their shoulders, and show them that GOD would never leave them to face their problems alone. Bob was also a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather; and his love for his wife [Earlene], his sons [Carey and Todd], daughter-in-law [Christina], and granddaughter [Lola] was without limits. I thought we were close as we were growing up, but I discovered we had grown even closer in recent years. Sitting across from him as he worked on lessons that he was preparing to teach inspired me to begin writing devotionals to share with pass-it-on cards and on Face-Book. I can see him now as he joins in celebration with the other celebrants in GOD’S Heavenly Kingdom. “Young women and young men, together with the elderly, will celebrate and dance; because I will comfort them and turn their sorrow into happiness.” – [Jeremiah 31:13] Today [and in the coming days] as we pray, we thank THE FATHER for sharing Bob with the rest of us, and we eagerly look forward to joining them in heaven one day.
