Something to think about…….Are we living a blameless life? Psalm 15 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbitheth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved. My understanding of this Psalm is this: This Psalm is a Guideline for living a blameless life. Our God calls us to be morally upright, and, this Psalm gives us the ten standards to determine how we are doing. We live among evil individuals whose standards and morals are eroding. Our standards for living should not come from our evil society, but from God. As we grow in a relationship with God, we develop a desire to live by His standards. The depth of our eternal relationship with Him can be measured by the way we reflect His standards in our everyday living and activities. The words that we use are powerful, and they can reflect on our relationship with God. Christians need to have the ability to control their speech, this means to speak the truth, refuse to slander another individual, and keeping promises. We must also be careful not to be so obsessed with money. This can cause one to change their God given standards and lifestyle, just to obtain money. God Bless Friends!!! Betty
