Sometimes God moves on our behalf and we are so caught up in our own thoughts and ideas that we miss what He has for us. I have been there many times, but I have told the Lord, many times, that I dont want to miss Him. I dont want to settle for His second best, I want the best He has, but I must be willing to pay the price for it. Getting Gods best is painful at times and the cost may seem more than we can bear, but my comfort comes in the scripture in 1 Corinthians 10:13, There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. My God will never put more on me than I can bear, that is His Promise to me. In the midst of the Storm that we are going through we fail to remember this passage of scripture, that can sustain us. Why is that? For me, I can only answer, there are times I find myself knowing in my heart that God can and will answer my prayers, but when it seems as though everything is crashing around me, I get lost in the situation. I have the confidence that God will do what His Word says, but sometimes I allow my flesh to take precedence over my spirit. Let me assure you, I am asking the Lord to help me work on that. I will always be a Work in progress as I walk with the Lord, but as I walk I want to retain what He is trying to teach me through life experiences and daily living. I want to be a better person, a helper to those in need. Help me O Lord, to glean from your Word, to stand when it is not popular to stand, and never, never, never compromise your Holy Word.
