Sometimes God sends us to Samaria..or Gurdon, AR... He gets us out of our comfort zone and into unfamiliar territory... There was a beer joint across the street from the church...and one of the first people we seen walking down the street was not too happy carrying a machete. So, we pray for Gods protection..Gods provision..and Gods opportunity to witness, be friendly and show the Love of Christ to a loss and dying world. We know of one neighbor who came was a spanish lady..who barely speaks English (i think she thought Jon and David were her cousins. lol)....sweet lady who came almost every service. God sent a state representative to service on Sun..who would return with his son for the youth night on Tues..And we watch God draw him to the altar to be saved. Later a sweet young girl would also ask Christ to Save her. Many other lives were touched as God gave a vision for a small old church, sitting on a street corner, with just a handful of members. God brought hope, that their work is not done..but Just begun. Thank you First Christian Church of Gurdon, Arkansas for allowing us to minister this week..and also be refueled and minister to..to carry the torch.. we pray that those that walk the streets, riding bicycles, sitting on the porches all around will also find their place in this church to worship. This week is forever in our hearts. I will cherish the opportunity to minister to the ladies at the prayer time.
