Sofias one hour appt this afternoon involved the following... - Less than a 5 minute wait! - Casting for new socket - Extensions and adjustments to existing prostheses. - Repeat Appt for test socket confirmed in 7 days!!! - Combined appt next week for prosthetic AND new Orthotic fitting - Order of new dynamic Flex foot which will allow Sofia to improve her gait and mobility on her day to day prosthesis. - Choice of several socket styles. - Choice of several blade styles for her sports prosthesis. (Cheetah/Flex Run/Explore?) It has taken several years of meetings, blood, sweat, tears and MDTs to get the level of service we now have - But...it just goes to show what can happen with sensible, polite, honest, open discussions. Communication is the key! Without doubt!
