Sometimes I forget what I’m really here for. I try to measure myself against the world, the mainstream culture. Sometimes, I think I’m irrelevant. Sometimes I despise being so different. It’s hard. Sometimes I love being so different, it’s a blessing. Waking up committed to seeing the good, doing the good and loving all know matter what is radical, noble. “To our most bitter opponents we say: ‘throw us in your jail and we will still love you. Bomb our houses and threaten our children and we will still love you. Beat us and leave us half dead and we will still love you. But be assured that we will wear you down by our capacity to suffer.
