Sometimes I get frustrated and think shouldnt he /know this/ already? Then I remember that I am thirty four. My ability to explain does not equal his ability to implement. If it did, then I could teach my two year old how to knit, and my four year old how to drive a car. Their brains are still developing. They are still experiencing all the things that they have to learn. They have so much maturing to do before they are able to misbehave in some of the ways that I misbehaved when I was a pre-teen and then a teenager. That is how far their brains have to grow. It is not my job to somehow make them have the knowledge and experience that took me 34 years to accumulate. It is my job to guide them as best as I can, while they learn in the ways that learning must happen.
