Sometimes I just do not understand churches and Christians....Last night was the Red Carpet Review which was mainly geared toward Single Christians. Those who came said they had a great time. But, I sent a cover letter/invitaion and flyer to 13 CHURCHES and only ONE bothered to respond. (with no) The letters were sent for divorce care groups, widows/widowers of all ages, and singles groups. I also followed up with emails and phone calls. I explained the goal, gave references, my phone number and offered for them to check our Meetup group and Facbook page...All requests were ignored.... Whatever happened to If a man asks for you to walk a mile with him, walk 2 miles?....If a man asks for your coat, give him your cloak also?...the golden rule?....Or even plain old-fashioned good manners!...A persons Chrisitan walk should apply to EVERYTHING....every activity, and every interaction with others. I am deeply disappointed in the churches of Lakeland!
