Sometimes I meet people in their 40s and older whos behaviour reflects they may have not gone through a rejection in life...neither personal, nor professional. It is reflected by a certain cockiness and the inability to recognize the feel of hope in another or the voice of trepidation, the uncertainty of possibilities, how a real hunger for a job and a need for a livelihood manifests. They are cold humans. They cannot emote to the feelings of another. They are ready to slip and fall themselves and it might be more difficult to recover the later it is in life. So if I were to meet a youngster embarking on his first leg in life I would wish him well but I would also wish he has his failures earlier than later. Been a while I say since I allowed myself to ruminate.
