Sometimes I really wonder about this tribe called kikuyu, Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the statehouse. The first from kisumu, the second from kakamega & third from nyeri. They are accompanied by one state house official to examine the fence and make verbal quotation for their charges. The kisumu guy takes out an assortment of measuring equipment, does some measuring then take out a large book and works a lot of figures, well, he finally says I wil charge the statehouse 700,000/=.(400k for materials 200k for my team & 100k profit for me). The kakamega guy also does some measuring & figuring then says, i can do it for 900k. (400k for materials, 400k for my team & 100k my profit). The nyeri guy doesnt even measures or figure anything. But he walked around the fence and whispers to the official, 3 million shillings. The visibility surprised official replied :you didnt even measure,how did you come up with such figure?. Nyeri guy, beaming with happiness whispers :1.3 million for me, 1 million for you & 700k to hire the kisumu guy to do the job, whatt????
