Sometimes I wake up with something to say...a friend of mine lost - TopicsExpress

Sometimes I wake up with something to say...a friend of mine lost her spouse in a tragic accident recently. We are told no man knows the day, nor hour that our soul is called home. We should treat each other as if this is the last time we will see each other on this earthly plane. That being said, we need to embrace those who are bereaved, not just around the funeral, but in the days and months afterward. Thats when they need you. Call and visit often. Hug them, talk to them, be present for them. My mother, Min. Thelma Williams, was formerly Minister of Bereavement at Mt.Zion Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC. She would (and still does) check on a family for a long time following the loss of a loved one. If you personally know Angela McMaster, I ask you to be there for her not just this weekend but ongoing. We all talk about how we love and care for someone, put those words into actions. Angie, you are in my prayers, but know you have a wealth of family and friends that will surround you with comfort and love.
