Sometimes I watch videos of kids trying to exercise their constitutional rights to cops, and sometimes their right to call the cops out. But just as often in videos, Ill see something simple like a routine traffic stop to catch drunk drivers where cops ask for license and registration, want to ask if youre drinking, see if you look intoxicated, and let you go. Instead some punk kid starts making an issue out of it holding up cars behind them. Am I being detained? Have I committed a crime? I dont have to show my ID. I might be incriminating myself for a crime under my 5th amendment rights...Then the video says, see how that cop flipped out like drill sergeant on that kid. Yeah, because youre trying to treat the cop like a douche for performing simple public safety checks and look suspicious by trying to prove some point about how you have a bigger dick (rights for the sake of it). If youre just polite, a lot of times those things end rather quickly instead of creating issues.
